Strong. Rooted. Community.

Celebrating a neighborhood defined by something deeper than geography.

Before America had a name, this place had roots.

Few people know that Tuckahoe—Tockawhoughe, as named by the Powhatan people—isn’t just a hollow name. It refers to a plant found on the banks of the James, known for its strong root system, one that connects and nourishes.

So it should be no surprise to any of us that call it home that the community that rooted itself here across generations reflects that very sentiment: Strong. Rooted. Community.
